Dr Carpenter retired from General
Practice in 2003 to concentrate on his hypnotherapy practice.
He qualified in medicine at
Sheffield university in 1968. After some years working in hospitals and
a spell as a flying doctor in Zambia, he settled into General Practice
in Surrey. He is married with three sons.
In 1990 he became interested
in hypnosis and discovered what a powerful tool it could be in promoting
change. He discovered
that hypnotherapy is a useful addition to his repertoire of traditional
medical skills.
He now has considerable experience
and is involved in teaching hypnosis to doctors and dentists.
He is an accredited member
of British Society of Experimental and Clinical Hypnosis and a member
of British Society of
Medical and Dental Hypnosis (Metropolitan and South) Hypnosis section
of the Royal Society of Medicine.
